The Verant Group is a San Diego-based restaurant and bar organization that represents seven establishments, six in San Diego County and one establishment in Arizona. The company was founded by three brilliant professionals: Mark Cirillo, Joe Vaught and Eric Lingenfelder, all who shared the same goal of creating a successful restaurant group. Understanding every aspect of the industry, the pros have worked from the ground up starting off as servers, door security employees and dish washers, and it’s their combined experience that has given them a well-rounded understanding of today’s bar, restaurant and entertainment industry.

The Verant Group team has spent the past thirteen years building a strong foundation of knowledge, trust, communication and a solid sense of unity that is expressed within each of their establishments. Opening their first restaurant in 1997, Tavern at the Beach, the group continued to open restaurants and bars over the years including The Sandbar Sports Grill, Tavern on Mill, Offshore Tavern and Grill, True North Tavern, West Coast Tavern and Brewley’s Pint and they anticipate opening a new establishment later this year.

Mark, Joe and Eric are ready to take their company to the next level, with each of them involved in the day-to- day operations at every location of their business. They have implemented company decisions from entertainment concepts, to unique menus and work closely with each of their restaurants to ensure their guests are granted the highest level of service. The company’s goal is to secure repeat customers to their locations and to constantly keep the concept fresh, exciting and on the cutting edge of the industry.

The Verant Group operates on its own recipe for success and conquers its mission through their employees, guests and communities. They continue to surround themselves with high-energy, motivated individuals who bring different perspectives and ideas to the table.

In addition, The Verant Group is also committed and dedicated to enriching the local communities they serve. In the past they have performed fundraisers for The San Diego Life Guard Association, The Leukemia Lymphoma Society and the San Diego Fire Fighters Association.

In July 2010, Alternative Strategies retained West Coast Tavern, and in November 2010 they also gained True North Tavern and will continue to manage their PR efforts moving forward, in addition to assisting the remainder of The Verant Group restaurants in San Diego.
