A garage-style door on the south side of the restaurant opens up during sunshine hours, revealing a spacious patio set around Kitchen 4140’s own herb garden. Adding to its atmospheric allure, décor from around the world mingles with some of the chef’s personal belongings in this one-time warehouse. Items such as a crystal chandelier acquired on a trip to Quebec, and an over-sized picnic table crafted by hand were added to the space, lending a unique charm and intimacy to this country-feel restaurant.

As if running Kitchen 4140 was not enough to keep him occupied, Chef Kurt also operates two full-scale catering services: Concept Catering by CK, and CK’s BBQ Shack. The latter boasts the ability to accommodate requirements like vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets, and both provide the impeccable quality cuisine that Kitchen 4140 is known for.

Open every weekday for breakfast and lunch, and on Sundays for brunch, Kitchen 4140 is built upon a standard of not taking the easy way out when it comes to cooking. Chef Kurt takes great pride in using seasonal ingredients at the peak of their ripeness and hand-picked greens from Kitchen 4140’s very own herb garden. Nothing is hidden in heavy sauces or masked with sugar.
