Ring in the New!

Just in time for the New Year, the AltStrat team is launching three brand new websites for three brand new clients! November was a big month for website design at Alternative Strategies, designing brand new sites for these fabulous, yet diverse clients. Each of the establishment's websites was designed with their unique identities in mind, giving web visitors a sense of their personality before ever stepping into their buildings.

Commonwealth
An exciting blend of urban chic and Victorian glamour, Commonwealth is Hillcrest's up-and-coming restaurant and bar. Their modern ambiance embellished with vintage design elements makes Commonwealth one of a kind. With such a distinctive atmosphere, Commonwealth needed a website that could match the tone. AltStrat started the process with a logo redesign that paired classic with contemporary. The newly launched website highlights elements from the beautifully decorated restaurant. Both the restaurant and the website embody sleek, sassy style.

Turquoise Cellars
Located a few short blocks from the Pacific Ocean, Turquoise Cellars is far from your average beach bar. A cafe by day and a wine bar by night, they represent the ultimate in versatility. Turquoise Cellars offers an impressive selection of wines by the glass, as well as a delectable variety of flatbreads and small plates. Launching the Cellars' website first, Alternative Strategies took into consideration the distinctly different elements of night and day at 5026 Cass Street and worked to digitally reflect that diversity. Clean design and pops of color elevated their website, giving it a look of sophistication, without feeling stuffy, much like Turquoise Cellars itself. Look for the Turquoise Cafe website, coming later this month.

Brass Rail
San Diego's oldest gay bar, The Brass Rail has stood the test of time. Going through a major remodel in 2007, The Brass Rail's success can be contributed to their ability to evolve and adapt. Sporting a state-of-the-art light and sound system, the only thing missing was an updated website. Hosting a range of events, from Sabado en Fuego to Manic Monday, Alternatives Strategies worked hard to design a website that would be able to highlight the bricolage of diversity that is The Brass Rail.
