Stifling heat hit San Diego this May, and while record-breaking temperatures set in for nearly two whole days, Alt Strat enjoyed another kind of record high in May. With more than 25 different television segments secured and a combined total of 150 editorial and online placements, the PR team exceeded expectations and showed clients the value of carefully crafted media outreach.

Alt Strat clients graced the pages of San Diego Magazine, San Diego Home/Garden Lifestyles, Locale Magazine, Pacific Magazine, and Four El; San Diego's newest magazine for men. The inaugural issue of Four El boasted three different Alt Strat clients, including barleymash, The Duck Dive and Union Kitchen & Tap. Newspapers all the way from Poway to downtown San Diego and the neighborhoods in between featured Alt Strat clients like PureFitness and Uptown Tavern.

The Alt Strat PR team secured great coverage for clients in front of the camera as well. Chef Jason from Union Kitchen & Tap told KUSI viewers about the new summer menu and cooked up some mussels, while the North Park Festival of Arts popped up on San Diego 6, KUSI, DiscoverSD and UT-TV. Gift Guiders presented great ideas for Mother's Day gift giving on NBC San Diego Midday. Bellus Academy and 7 Image showed the San Diego 6 viewers how wardrobe updates and a bit of hair and makeup magic can transform one's overall appearance.

Tongues wagged online at EaterSD.com about this month's opening of Salt & Cleaver in Hillcrest and ViVa bar + kitchen in the Gaslamp District. Thrillist.com highlighted the San Diego Derby Party at barleymash and featured Kitchen 4140. Salt & Cleaver was on a roll this month, also having been featured on JuliB.com and DiscoverSD.com.
