Brian's 24

Here’s the skinny…okay, it’s an eating contest-maybe not so skinny!

Brian’s 24, the only 24-hour restaurant in downtown San Diego, is celebrating their 5-year anniversary on Thursday, February 6th. This family-run restaurant is honoring their father who passed in 2010.   His kids (current owners/operators, Brian and Andrea) jokingly say, “Dad always loved the dogs more than us!” To mark the occasion, they’re doing the Pancake Monster Challenge ($29.99 to enter – free if you finish) from 6 a.m.-noon and all proceeds go to the San Diego Humane Society.

Meet the Pancake Monster - Competitors will be given one hour to consume the beast, made up of:

  • Three fried eggs
  • Five hotcakes
  • Four strips of bacon
  • Two sausage patties
  • An eight oz. ham steak
  • An eight oz. fried steak
  • Served on a bed of special home fries
  • Winners receive:

  • Your meal on the house
  • An “I Conquered the Pancake Monster” t-shirt
  • Four strips of bacon
  • Two sausage patties
  • A 3-month subscription to PetBox
  • A 30-day pass to Balanced Fitness
  • Where do the proceeds go?

Brian’s 24 will be donating $5 for every person who enters the contest, $50 for every person who finishes, plus an additional $500 if five or more participants successfully complete the contest, and 10% of all sales for the day to the San Diego Humane Society.  In addition, they will also be donating $1 to the Humane Society for every short- or full stack ordered during the month of February.

To enter, call Brian’s 24 at 619-702-8410 to reserve a seat for yourself!
