Going Viral?

Let's say you have an idea and you think that it's going to be the next best thing. It could be a new product or maybe even a new brand you've been thinking of launching. An idea like this can travel far and with the new age of digital marketing, it's possible to go viral.

In the rarest of rare situations, going viral can be accidental, a fluke that nobody saw coming or even pure luck. It's what everyone dreams of, but not the reality everyone gets to experience. Now, with the proper tools and experts by your side, it's possible to orchestrate and carefully strategize your next product or brand to stardom.

I know what you're thinking – how?

Now, we don't always know why some products go viral, but what we do know is that there's a reason why certain products do.

Here are two common themes found across the board for going viral that you can use to greatly increase the reach of your business, product or brand:

  1. Utilize Your Story and Mission
There's a reason you started your business or product. What is that reason? It's important to make sure that your product's message is conveyed to your audience consistently and authentically. Maybe you started because you saw a hole in the market and wanted to help fill in the gap. Or maybe you started because you lost a loved one to cancer and this was your way of keeping his or her legacy alive. Needless to say, your story needs to be heard and understood.
  2. Be Extraordinary And Do Something Nobody Else In Your Market Is Doing
To really get the edge on going viral, you have to get creative with what you can offer your audience. Maybe that's being the only restaurant in town serving up caramel-infused waffles with a Cinnabon glaze topped off with whipped cream and fruity pebbles. Pretty out there, right? Or maybe you have a certain look and design that caters better to a specific audience, and that alone is your distinguishing factor. Avoid mimicking others and don't be afraid to try something new or test something out from time to time.

Combine these concepts with marketing and public relations experts who understand your vision, and Voila! The start to stardom is on the horizon. Experts in the field know how to tailor a campaign that fits specifically to your brand, and when everything aligns, your new product will be set to take off!
