Alternative Strategies Takes Over North Park

We are very proud to represent the best establishments in North Park. Be sure to check out our clients featured below:

Saiko Sake & Sushi Bar

Saiko Sake & Sushi Bar is the newest addition to North Park’s eclectic dining scene. Sister restaurant to Saiko Sushi in Coronado, the contemporary space features exposed ceilings, local artwork and a striking mural. Saiko takes pride in serving fresh wild-caught local fish that is hand-picked daily by Chef Anthony Pascale. Find a seat at the sushi bar to watch the masters at work and sip on premium sakes from regional breweries in Japan. Chef Anthony and General Manager Evan Bennett are certified sake specialists that can help guests find their new favorite boutique sake.

Observatory North Park and West Coast Tavern

North Park will see many more music acts in 2015 with an exciting change of ownership to its West Coast Tavern and The North Park Theatre. Running the show is SD Observatory LLC, proven music venue specialists, who already have a full calendar packed with national touring acts, as well as local favorites. Genres such as Indie, Folk, Rock, Ska, Punk, Hip Hop, Latin, Electronic and other formats will comprise five to seven shows per week and are anticipated to assure a steady flow within the theatre and adjoining West Coast Tavern.

West Coast Tavern will continue to be North Park’s favorite bar and restaurant. The restaurant’s décor combines the antique style of old 1920’s San Diego with an elegant and modern theme – which also happens to be a trademark approach to this upscale tavern’s fabulous menu. This March, Executive Chef Abe Botello will roll out their spring menu that will feature local seasonal ingredients.

George’s Camera – 50th Anniversary

Voted #1 year after year for excellent customer service, George’s Camera is San Diego’s largest full-service camera store. Locally owned and operated since 1965, George’s offers the best selection of photographic and video equipment and supplies, digital cameras, and professional lighting. George’s Camera also provides a premier selection of rental inventory for professionals and hobbyists.

This upcoming June, George’s Camera continues to cement their success in the San Diego market by celebrating their 50th anniversary. They recently opened their 2nd location in San Diego, a rarity in a Best Buy and Walmart world.

True North Tavern

True North Tavern has become a favorite neighborhood destination within the treasured urban village of North Park since opening in February 2009. Just off bustling University Avenue, this local hot spot was recently awarded “Best Sports Bar” by San Diego CityBeat, and has plenty of good times on tap, enough for everyone who walks through its doors.

For sports lovers, True North Tavern has become the best spot for March Madness viewing. With their casual environment and 25 HD widescreen TV’s, they continue to draw in some of San Diego’s hottest sports fans. To continue with their yearly tradition, True North will show every single March Madness game. You better start working on your bracket!

Wang’s North Park

Located in the heart of San Diego, Wang’s North Park combines Asian Fusion with traditional Chinese cuisine in a tastefully designed setting. Known as the largest Chinese restaurant in San Diego, the restaurant’s imaginative menu uses only the freshest ingredients, sourced locally and separated into categories that balance each meal into a culinary adventure.

This past month, Wang’s North Park celebrated their 3-year anniversary with week-long celebrations, including a cardholder appreciation dinner, a massive Chinese New Year party (lion dancers included!) and an Oscars Viewing Party to support the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus.
