La Jolla Brewing Company

This month it’s time to unveil the newly renovated La Jolla Brewing Company. Having celebrated their grand opening on January 30th in the village of La Jolla, this Sunny Jim’s cave-inspired brewery thrives on becoming one of San Diego’s elite craft breweries. With a fresh, thorough and well-planned redesign, along with new ownership and management, La Jolla Brewing Co. brings craft brews and quality food to the beer-loving community.

Head brewer Brett Stampf (from Green Flash and Stone) has already created six in-house beers, with plans to have the count up to eight by the end of the year. For hungry folks, Executive Chef Matt Ham has rolled out a menu made with beer, which naturally bonds them as beer partners.

The 200-seat eatery, with its spacious, dog-friendly patio also comes with a back room used for overflow on weekends and special events. It comes equipped with another 24 taps that can be used by tap takeovers by local breweries. Currently, they are one of two breweries in La Jolla brewing beer on-site.

La Jolla Brewing Co. is owned and operated by Leigh Gibson. Visit the new brewery at 7536 Fay Avenue, La Jolla, CA, or on their website, LaJollaBeer.com. They are currently open Sunday–Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to midnight, and Friday–Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
